MELBOURNE, Victoria – The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is accepting entries into the Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA). Conducted annually by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), the awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate and promote coffee roasting excellence in Australia and internationally.

RASV CEO Brad Jenkins is excited for the 2020 Australian International Coffee Awards, citing them as an incredible event that recognises and rewards the world’s best roasters.

“Winning a medal or trophy offers an unrivalled opportunity for roasters to leverage their success on a local, national and international level,” said Mr. Jenkins.

With judging taking place at Victoria’s Melbourne Showgrounds, the Awards offer roasters a unique and highly valued opportunity to have their roasts assessed by the global industry’s best in a city renowned for its excellent coffee culture.

Mr. Jenkins sighted the selection of judges and baristas as a critical element that drives the growing prestige, scale and success of the Awards.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Melissa Caia as Head Judge and Adam Metelmann as Head Barista. Melissa and Adam are both terrific ambassadors for the coffee industry and are the perfect people to oversee the judging of the 2020 AICA,”

“Participants in the AICA can benchmark their products against industry standards, receive feedback from independent industry experts, market their award winning coffee, and promote their products through associated events,” Mr Jenkins said.

Roasters whose product is scored highly by the judges earn the right to display an Australian International Coffee Awards seal of excellence and gain access to an exclusive medal winners’ marketing and promotions toolkit.

With judging to take place from Wednesday 04 to Friday 06 March 2020 at Melbourne Showgrounds and the trophy winners to be announced later in the month, coffee roasters are encouraged to get their entries in early to be part of this prestigious program.

Entries for the competition close on Friday 7 February 2020. For more information or to enter online visit: https://www.rasv.com.au/australian-international-coffee-awards/
