NEW YORK – The NCA – National Coffee Association of USA – has issued on December 23rd the following statement concerning the resignation of Robert Nelson from the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association.

“After nearly two decades of distinguished service to the Association as President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Nelson has informed the Board that he is resigning from NCA to pursue his passion for association governance and strategy development.

For the foreseeable future, Robert will remain available to the Board of Directors to assist in a smooth and professional transition once his successor is identified.

Robert has guided our association from its most formative stages and led us into the21st century with exceptional foresight, vision and leadership. We thank Robert for all its many contributions to the NCA and wish him well in all future endeavors.

During our transition to new leadership, Mr Dub Hay, former chairman of the Board, will provide leadership and oversight of the daily operations.

Mr Hay will be interim National Coffee Association President & Chief Executive Officer until a successor is in place.
