Newell Brands’ Commercial Group donates $25,000 worth of product to charities

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C., U.S. — In recognition of Giving Tuesday, The Commercial Group of Newell Brands, headquartered in Huntersville, NC, donated an assortment of their products to local Charlotte, NC area charities. The donated products ranged from Rubbermaid Commercial Products cleaning supplies and foodservice storage containers, to Elmer’s glue and Sharpie markers.

The charities that received these donations were the Ada Jenkins Center, Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen, Classroom Central, and Habitat for Humanity. The estimated value of the donated products totaled $25,000 and will help these charities in their day-to-day operations and outreach programs.

Chris Tesmer, Vice President of Sales for the Commercial Group of Newell Brands, said “We are very excited to be donating to several local Charlotte charities. These organizations do such great meaningful work, and I’m so glad we can give back and help them continue being a positive force in the community.”

One of the local charities that received the product donations is the Ada Jenkins Center, located in Davidson, NC. The Ada Jenkins Center serves as a resource hub for families who are struggling to attain economic stability and want to secure a better job, additional education, safer housing, or basic healthcare.

Josh Kiser, Community Relations and Volunteer Manager at the Ada Jenkins Center, said “While we are very proud of the work that we do in the community, we also know that we cannot do what we do without partnerships with other organizations and businesses in the area. What we receive, whether it’s through donations or volunteers, from Newell Brands is absolutely amazing and is an invaluable asset to what we do in the community.”
