EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., U.S. – Amber Road, a leading provider of global trade management solutions (GTM), recently announced that Jacobs Douwe Egberts has signed a worldwide contract for an automated restricted party screening (RPS) solution.

Jacobs Douwe Egberts is in the process of developing a global corporate compliance strategy and has targeted restricted party screening as the first step towards comprehensive protection.

DVG De Vecchi

As one of the world’s largest pure-play coffee and tea companies, Netherlands-headquartered Jacobs Douwe Egberts is the center of an extensive global supply chain. It holds market-leading positions in 18 countries globally as well as a strong emerging market presence. This adds up to hundreds of thousands of trading partner entities, all of which will be screened by the Amber Road Restricted Party Screening solution.

To start with, all entities will be batch-uploaded to the Amber Road hosted solution and automatically screened for potential matches against more than 300 restricted party lists. The entities will then be constantly monitored against changes in any of the lists. As new trading partners are added, users will be able to activate ad-hoc and batch screening of the new entities.

The restricted party screening solution is part of Amber Road’s comprehensive Export On- Demand solution, providing Jacobs Douwe Egberts with a smooth path toward expanded compliance.

Additional reasons that Jacobs Douwe Egberts cited for choosing Amber Road included the company’s global footprint, a recommendation from a world-leading food conglomerate, and the ability to configure escalation scenarios to ensure that all alerts are dealt with correctly.

Welcoming Jacobs Douwe Egberts as a new customer, Jim Preuninger, CEO of Amber Road, said: “With several of the largest coffee companies in the world already Amber Road customers, we’ve built a close understanding of the global coffee and tea business, and the specific issues they face in terms of global trade compliance and management. The worldwide Amber Road organization is well-informed and ready to support Jacobs Douwe Egberts as they expand their corporate compliance strategy.”
