Starbucks Korea will sell caffe latte at a discounted price every Monday to boost milk consumption as the country tries to deal with an increasing milk stockpile, reports the Korea Times.

In the campaign that will kick off today and continue through the end of June, the company will sell a tall-sized cup of latte at 3,900 won (US$3.56), down from the regular price of 4,600 won, at Starbucks outlets across the country.

Those in U.S. military bases and seasonally operating outlets are not participating in the event.

The company said the move will increase its milk use by 1,500 tons. Starbucks uses an estimated 18,500 tons of milk annually.

It also seeks to raise 150 million won to help dairy farmers by depositing 100 won from each sale of latte during the campaign into a special account.
