UK – Lavazza and La Tasca creating a stir with new partnership

Lavazza and La Tasca restaurants are pleased to announce a new partnership that will see the UK’s well-loved Spanish tapas bar and restaurant operator introducing Lavazza’s innovative professional Capsule espresso systems, ‘Lavazza BLUE’, throughout its estate.

The new partnership will ensure that the highest quality coffee is served to La Tasca customers on a consistent basis.

  • For over 30 years Lavazza has devoted itself to gastronomy through its work with internationally renowned chefs, like the figure of Catalan cooking, Ferran Adrià.
  • Lavazza has worked with Ferran Adrià for decades, producing innovative creations that combine two infamous European cuisines – Italian and Spanish. Lavazza is committed to coffee research and experimentation and its dedication to the dining industry has led to new ways of understanding espresso in many countries.
  • Lavazza’s association with Spanish dining today is further cemented through its partnership with La Tasca, which prides itself on its quality authentic food, provenance and creating a real Spanish revolution in dining.
  • The Lavazza BLUE machines that La Tasca is adopting are an adaptation of the traditional espresso machine, but instead of using a grinder and beans, the system uses a Lavazza coffee capsule to make each espresso, therefore guaranteeing the perfect coffee each time for customers.

Simon Wilkinson, CEO at La Tasca, comments:

We have made the decision to replace all of our current espresso equipment with the new Lavazza system, which sees La Tasca being the first major high street casual dining operator to switch to this system, yet again staying one step ahead of the competition.
