Coffee exports from Uganda rose 8.9 percent on year during the month of May reaching 286,758 60-kg bags, up from 263,330 bags shipped in May 2015, the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) said in its monthly report. The Authority didn’t provide a reason for the surge in shipments.
