WEGGIS, Switzerland – Thermoplan has fully acquired the Mikafi project from the start-up of the same name. Mikafi is an innovative, compact tabletop coffee roaster that enables green coffee beans to be freshly roasted directly on site in the café within a few minutes, without any special expertise.
With the help of individual roasting profiles, small quantities of signature roasts can be prepared directly at the point of consumption. Thanks to its sophisticated design, the roaster fits perfectly into any café environment.
“We were already closely involved in the development as a partner in the past and now we are continuing the vision with all our strength. Our goal is to take Mikafi to the next level and actively shape the future of coffee preparation,” says the company in a press release.
The Mikafi roaster is currently being further developed with a great deal of passion and innovative spirit, in terms of technology, design and functionality. Step by step, we are bringing it to market maturity.

Host 2025 in Milan: experience Mikafi live
A first major milestone is imminent: from October 17 to 21, 2025, Thermoplan will be presenting the Mikafi roaster live at Host in Milan in Hall 8P, Stand B23/C24.
