TORONTO, Canada – SPoT Coffee has won another strategic franchise café location in Buffalo, New York. Spot Roswell Park will be located inside America’s oldest and most prestigious cancer treatment hospital, the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, which has been bringing together the best scientific and medical minds in the field of cancer care since 1898.
Spot will be bringing its signature coffee, ambience and warmth to the patients, visitors and employees of Roswell Park in the form of a new 500 square foot Express café. SPoT was awarded the location at the conclusion of an open bidding process, which included major competing brands.
“Given the stresses and concerns that our patients and their loved ones have, it’s critically important that everything about the environment we create is warm, welcoming and hospitable,” said Roswell Park President and CEO Candace S. Johnson, PhD, “And an important part of that environment is making sure that we have food and refreshments to comfort and nourish everyone who walks through our doors, on their best, happiest days, as well as the tough ones.”
Other Roswell Park officials echoed Dr. Johnson’s statement and highlighted the primary consideration in choosing Spot as a partner, which was its freshly made drinks, healthy foods, and quick and attentive service.
According to Daniel M. Hensley, SPoT Coffee’s Vice President of Franchise Operations, “There is outstanding care and research unfolding every day within those walls, so it will be a real honor for our team to help support that work and to serve the institute’s patients and their families.”
Spot Roswell Park has received all of the required approvals to start the development of the café in the main lobby. Spot will have completed full development of Spot Roswell Park by the end of March, with commencement of operation in early April of this year.
