Sigep 2022 opens tomorrow in Rimini, returns to its physical form

RIMINI, Italy – Sigep, the world’s leading B2B show dedicated to dessert-and-coffee Foodservice Industry, opens tomorrow March 12 at Rimini Expo Centre and will and will run through March 16. For more than 40 years, Sigep has been the point of reference for innovations in the whole sector, and provides a complete overview of all new market developments: raw materials and ingredients, machinery and equipment, as well as furnishings, packaging and services.

Sigep is also a meeting place to exchange ideas, trends and visions, presented every year by the sector’s top experts and opinion leaders.

Finally, the spotlight in the themed arenas is turned on international competition, demonstrations, talk shows, workshops and training sessions.

Returning to its physical form, Sigep 2022 will be a unique opportunity to discover the new scenarios related to the momentous change of the Out-of-Home sector and how this transformation will revolutionise the way we do business, both for companies and all professionals working in the sector.

Sigep 2022 Format – Physical + Digital

Designed and developed for the dessert and coffee foodservice community, Sigep – The Dolce World Expo boasts an innovative format and is the natural physical and digital meeting place for the Out-of-Home world.

The layout of Sigep (Rimini Expo Centre, 12th . 16th March 2022) reflects the five souls of the show: gelato, pastry, chocolate, bakery and coffee.

The Layout

Located in the South Hall, in the very centre of the Italian Exhibition Group Expo Centre, is Vision Plaza, a venue for talks and conferences of international standing held by experts from the Foodservice world, such as the NPD Group.

The halls will host leading companies in the sector of ingredients, technologies, furnishings, packaging, decorations and services for the five supply chains and will be divided as follows: 8 halls (A3-A4-A5-C1-C2-C3-C4-C5) will house the gelato supply chain; 5 halls (A1-A2-D1-D2-D3) will host the coffee sector; 8 halls will group together the pastry and bakery supply chain (hall B3, will also feature companies from the chocolate supply chain).

The Gelato Arena, Hall C3, will host the ´Sigep Gelato d´Oro´ competition, during which the pastry chefs and gelato makers who will compete in the first Gelato European Cup in 2023 will be selected.

The Pastry Arena, Hall B5, will stage a programme of events dedicated to high-level pastry-making with meetings organised by the associations.

The Coffee Arena, Hall D1, will see baristas and coffee professionals compete in the Italian Barista Championships Area for the Barista, Brewers Cup and Cup Tasters categories.

The Bakery Arena, Hall B3, will host demos and talks with international guests from the bakery world and special training sessions for the 30th edition of Sigep Giovani.

Lastly, the Buyers´ Lounge in Hall A5 will provide a meeting point for the international buyer delegations selected by ITA (Italian Trade Agency), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Italian Exhibition Group´s network of regional advisors.
