MILAN – Future for Robusta coffee posted new gains on Friday recording the ninth straight weekly gain, amid supply worries for the bitter tasting variety. “For a price, there’s coffee out there. (But) we have a shortage of robusta beans.
You can’t say there isn’t a problem,” Nick Gentile, managing partner of commodity trading adviser NickJen Capital, was quoted as saying citing supplied concerns in Indonesia.
The second month contract for January delivery closed up US$31 at US$2,153, back near to two-year highs.
