BORDEAUX, France – In Bordeaux, the house of Origines has become a reference point for those seeking coffees and teas with meaning. Founded 12 years ago by Natalia Kupianskaya and Loïc Marion, the company was born from a meeting and a conviction: to offer products that are respectful of nature, traceable back to the producer, and roasted with precision to fully express their potential.
The story began simply, with the sale of carefully selected teas and coffees. But very soon, the couple noticed a limitation: the lack of traceability in coffees and the insufficient aromatic approach of outsourced roasting. Driven by a quest for transparency and quality, they decided to take roasting into their own hands. A small 2 kg shop roaster gave them the first step forward—and the immediate enthusiasm of their customers confirmed they were on the right path.
A few years later, the adventure reached a new milestone with the installation of a larger-capacity roaster. In 2019, after a rigorous tender process, IMF emerged as the ideal partner. “We were looking for a modern tool, capable of guaranteeing consistent profiles and integrating into a complete system with storage silos,” explains Loïc Marion. Energy efficiency was also a decisive factor: IMF’s patented hot-air recirculation system greatly reduces consumption while limiting the olfactory impact in the workshop—a crucial point for Origines, which also produces tea.

Over the years, Origines has built a strong identity. Its name reflects the importance it places on traceability: knowing the producers and cooperatives, understanding their methods, and highlighting their ecological commitment. More than just an organic label, it’s a philosophy of life that connects the Bordeaux-based company with its partners. Regular trips, such as the 2024 visit to the La Pradera cooperative in Colombia, nurture this direct and human relationship with the field.
Today, each coffee is selected to enrich the range through its uniqueness. The team cups, discusses, and fine-tunes roasting profiles in order to deliver a truly unique sensory experience. Thanks to IMF technology, consistency is always guaranteed: perfectly repeatable cycles, flawless precision, and after three years of use, not a single breakdown.
With around 200 tons roasted each year, Origines is already looking toward the future. The ambition remains the same as on day one: to give meaning to every cup, by honoring terroirs, respecting nature, and combining technological innovation with artisanal know-how.
