NEW YORK, U.S. – Nespresso, the worldwide pioneer and reference in premium single-serve coffee, invites consumers to see mornings in a new light with the launch of two new VertuoLine Grand Cru large-cup coffees – Solelio and Giornio.

The morning moment is a special one, deserving of smooth, balanced and delicious Nespresso coffee, every time – from the initial aroma to the savored last sip.

The names, Solelio and Giornio, reflect their position in the VertuoLine Grands Crus range as breakfast blends – Solelio refers to a rising sun (“Sole”) and Giornio refers to day (“Giorno”) in Italian.

Solelio and Giornio join the permanent range of VertuoLine™ Grands Crus – now made up of 12 large-cup coffees and four espresso blends. These two large-cup Grands Crus are light and medium in intensity, providing coffee lovers with a variety of options to suit every coffee moment.

The intensity is defined by three aspects – the roasted notes, bitterness and body. Solelio, a fruity and well-balanced light roast, has an intensity of two on Nespresso‘s intensity scale of one to twelve.

The coffee, which is sourced from Kenya and Colombia, has toasted cereal notes enriched by delicate fruit aromas. Giornio, a velvety medium roast from Ethiopia and Kenya, has an intensity of four and features toasted cereal tones with subtle white floral notes.

To develop Nespresso Grands Crus, Nespresso’s coffee experts select only the highest quality beans from the world’s finest coffee-producing regions and Solelio and Giornio are no different.

With a touch of a button on the innovative VertuoLine™ Evoluo machine, these two high-quality coffees will be brewed in the most optimal way every time and finished with a silky and generous layer of naturally-formed crema – a sign of world-class coffee and unprecedented quality.

Delicious on their own, Solelio and Giorno both work in perfect harmony with milk – highlighting the sweeter and more indulgent sides of these blends. With milk, Solelio‘s fruity notes soften to unfold a creamy caramel indulgence and Giornio‘s slight acidity gives way to a smooth sweetness.

To elevate the at-home coffee experience even further, the new Nespresso Aeroccino4 milk frother can assist in creating Barista-worthy fresh hot or cold milk froth.

Recycling & AvailabilityNespresso Grands Crus are packaged in aluminum, a material that preserves the quality and freshness of the coffee, and can be recycled over and over again.

The Nespresso recycling program involves a partnership with UPS, covering the continental United States.

Consumers can ship used capsules using a pre-paid UPS Nespresso recycling bag or drop their capsules off at over 500 collection points at Nespresso Boutiques and retailers across the country, making it easier than ever for Nespresso Club Members to recycle their capsules.
