SHANGHAI, China – Participating in its 8th consecutive China International Import Expo (CIIE), Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is showcasing a diverse range of new products to the Chinese market, including animal nutrition solutions, food ingredients and soluble coffee products, in line with the Group’s strategy to expand its presence downstream in the value chain.
The Group presented its ‘Soyadoc’ specialty feed protein brand, including a comprehensive portfolio of animal nutrition products. This showcase marks the global launch of four product categories: advanced fermented soybean meal, yeast-enriched enzymatic protein, plant-based fishmeal replacer and fortified lecithin – all developed to optimize animal nutrient utilization efficiency, contributing to enhanced animal health and improved breeding cost efficiency.
“Leveraging the innovation capabilities of LDC’s R&D Center in Shanghai, as well as our integrated production facilities, our animal nutrition ingredients aim to create value for feed and breeding enterprises in China and support them in meeting regulatory requirements to phase out antibiotics in feed,” said Shengshu Huang, LDC’s Chief Technology Officer and Head of Specialty Feed Ingredients for North Asia.
LDC also presented for the first time its nutrition and health ingredient product line, including phytosterol esters, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3 oils, designed to meet the needs of industries such as dairy, functional foods and dietary supplements.
Additionally, LDC has expanded its food ingredients portfolio with Spongolit® aerating emulsifier and Lamequick® whipping agents, to provide solutions for the baking sector, among others. These additions complement existing food ingredients product lines covering lecithin, glycerin, Vitamin E and others.
In response to China’s fast-growing coffee market, LDC also showcased its extensive range of instant coffee products produced in Brazil and Vietnam, including spray-dried coffee, freeze-dried coffee and coffee concentrate, to meet diverse application needs.
“China’s opening-up policies continue to create many opportunities for collaboration with our regional partners, and CIIE is a key platform to deepen our engagement with the country’s dynamic market, where we are committed to investing for innovation, shared value creation and long-term growth,” said Jerrity Chen, LDC’s Head of North Asia.
