ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands – Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. (LDC) announced yesterday (January 5, 2026) the appointment of Mr. Nigel Mamalis as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately, further to the unexpected passing of its Group CFO, Patrick Treuer, at the end of December.

Mr. Mamalis takes up this role after working with LDC in an advisory capacity since 2019, prior to which his career within the Group covered diverse functions, from trading to risk, finance and management, including in several senior positions such as CEO for Europe & Black Sea, Deputy Group CFO, Chief Compliance & Risk Officer, Senior Head of Merchandizing Platforms, and others.

“Over more than 30 years working for and with LDC, Nigel has made many valuable contributions and been a trusted member of our leadership team, leveraging his extensive knowledge of our business and industry to support LDC’s operations and strategic developments.

I am confident that he will continue to do so in his capacity as Interim CFO,” said Mr. Michael Gelchie, LDC’s Chief Executive Officer.

In his capacity as Louis Dreyfus Company ’s Interim CFO, Mr. Mamalis will report to the Group CEO and be based in Geneva, Switzerland.
