SWEDEN – “By using mono-material, we make it easier to recycle our packaging, and we have managed to develop a solution that preserves the quality of the coffee. This is an important part of our work to create a more sustainable supply chain,” says Madelene Breiling, Head of Development & Compliance at Löfbergs.

Mono-material means that packaging is produced with just one type of plastic, making it easier to recycle than traditional multi-layer solutions where different materials must be separated.

The transition is part of Löfbergs’ journey to offer mono-material packaging across all formats, strengthening both the company’s sustainability efforts and competitiveness.

The Swedish-based coffee group Löfbergs is a family business founded in 1906. The group includes the brands Löfbergs, Peter Larsen Kaffe, and Kobbs.
