SWITZERLAND, JAKARTA – Climate change continues to disrupt coffee-growing regions across the globe. Rising temperatures, unpredictable rainfall, and severe droughts are diminishing the suitability of traditional coffee landscapes—threatening both crop productivity and the livelihoods of farming communities.

In response, digital transformation is reshaping the agricultural sector. Leading sustainability initiatives are leveraging technology to drive transparency, boost operational efficiency, and build long-term resilience.

At the forefront of this transformation is KOLTIVA, a Swiss-Indonesian AgriTech company, which has digitally validated over 25,274 coffee producers across eight Latin American countries—including Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, Guatemala, and Colombia.

This milestone reflects Koltiva’s growing impact in scaling traceable, sustainable sourcing initiatives across the global coffee value chain.

“Sustainability begins with visibility,” said Silvan Ziegler, Senior Head of Markets America at Koltiva. “KoltiTrace is more than a digital tool—it’s a data-driven transformation that empowers farmers, agronomists, and companies to make informed, impactful decisions that drive real change.”
