STUTTGART, Germany – The announcement that Intergastra digital would be held next spring (8 to 10 March 2021) has gone down very well in the industry. Very much to the delight of Messe Stuttgart, because a large number of industry partners want to take part in the new digital event. “There was a great response from the partner network of the leading trade fair for the hotel and gastronomy business in Stuttgart within a short space of time after the announcement of the new digital format. We are ecstatic and amazed!,” said Andreas Wiesinger, a member of the Board of Management of Messe Stuttgart.

“This proves how important an intensive exchange is for the industry. A large number of long-standing partners have promised us their support. They include the Gastro Future Initiative, HSMA Deutschland e. V., the Gastro Vision Business Forum, the Heilbronn Hospitality Symposium, the German Chefs’ Association, ErfaFoodService and the live Chef of the Year competition,” said Markus Tischberger, Project Manager for Intergastra digital. “They all want to drive the industry forward at the start of next year and cooperate in our new concept.”

The “Gastro Future Initiative”, a cross-company platform established by FVZ Convenience and Salomon FoodWorld, combines assistance and know-how, and covers solutions and financial actions from different areas. Rainer Laabs, a member of the Board of Management of FVZ Convenience, is pleased to support the new platform Intergastra digital: “I am delighted that the industry is coming together for a virtual exchange – and to an unprecedented extent as well. Intergastra digital will be an important date in 2021 in order to defy the corona pandemic with new impetus,” said Laabs.

“As a partner of Intergastra digital , we are continuing the successful cooperation with Messe Stuttgart during the IKA/Culinary Olympics in February 2020,” said Richard Beck, President of the German Chefs’ Association. “In addition to the gastronomy sector, the trade fair industry is seriously affected by the current situation. It is therefore all the more important to stick together now and support one another. In such times Intergastra digital represents a good opportunity to obtain information and exchange ideas and experiences online.”

Nuria Roig de Puig, Managing Director of “Chef of the Year”, concurred with this statement. “The new concept for Intergastra is very promising. We are looking forward to cooperating in this project with “Chef of the Year” and exploring new directions together. After all, we are pursuing the same objective, i.e. to drive the industry forward! It is now time for us, wherever possible, to join forces and build on a strong community.” The Second Preliminary Final for “Chef of the Year” will be held in Stuttgart on 14 June 2021.

The mission of the Heilbronn Hospitality Symposium is to promote cross-generational exchange. Business and politics meet research and teaching at this event. ” Intergastra digital 2021 will be an opportunity for us to strengthen the intensive exchange of information between teaching, research, politics and business in spring,” said Prof. Dr. Christian Buer, Head of the Tourism Department at Heilbronn University. “We are pleased that we can continue this exchange as the Heilbronn Hospitality Symposium TALK together with Intergastra.”

With its strong and continually expanding partner network, Intergastra digital will therefore bring the industry together in times of contact restrictions, facilitate personal discussions and provide support in the form of knowledge to ensure a strong start to the summer.
