MILAN – One of the best places to keep abreast of developments in this important sector is surely Host 2015, the International Hospitality Exhibition, which is to be held from Friday 23 to Tuesday 27 October 2015 at the Fieramilano trade fairgrounds in Rho.

Host has indeed become a reference point for coffee (and not just the espresso kind) on the world circuit of events with the highest number of visitors – professional or otherwise – and everything to do with it.

From the humble coffee bean itself to the formats, technologies, furnishings, layouts and vending systems that sell the final product, and even training programmes and competitions among the world’s top baristas, the common theme behind all the initiatives at Host are linked in some way to the excellence of the drink as dictated by the food and beverage preferences of different cultures.

Prominent among them all, though, is espresso, that icon of Italian lifestyle that has even become a world beverage culture phenomenon.

The forthcoming edition of Host 2015 will thus represent the entire business and its production chain: the result of a process that has already been set in motion which will eventually bring exhibitors from all different areas under one roof, as well as offering  a high level of training, run independently, that also exploits the synergies with Expo Milano 2015, which ends on 31 October, and one of whose nine so-called “clusters” (themed areas that presents one product produced by several countries) will be devoted to coffee.

This crucial role in representing value of coffee is part of the mission Host has developed over the years, and has come about thanks among other things to strategic alliances with universally recognised international organisations, including SCAE (the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe).
