BEIJING, China — Luckin Coffee independent director Thomas Meier submitted his resignation to leave the board, the company announced yesterday in a SEC filing. The departure leaves the audit committee of the Luckin board with just three independent directors.
Here is the text of the filing:
On April 21, 2020, the Company (Luckin Coffee) received a letter of resignation from Mr Thomas P Meier, who was appointed as an independent director of the Board in May 2019.
In his letter, Mr. Meier notified the Company of his resignation from the Board and from the Audit Committee of the Board, effective immediately.
Following Mr. Meier’s resignation, the Audit Committee of the Board consists of three independent directors. The Company thanks Mr. Meier for his dedicated service to the Company.
