TRIESTE, Italy – illycaffè unveils three new summer coffee frappé recipes created by its Università del Caffè, designed to “transform every break into a sensory escape through evocative flavors and exotic atmospheres”: Sicilia Sunrise, Kyoto Zen, and Bali Escape.

Inspired by three iconic destinations and based on illy’s signature coffee frappé – also available in a decaffeinated version – the new recipes from illycaffè celebrate summer with refreshing, indulgent creations. The addition of natural flavors and whipped cream makes them perfect for the warmest months, ideal to enjoy, share and capture.

Sicilia Sunrise blends coffee with the vibrant notes of pink grapefruit – a symbol of freshness and energy – for a bright, invigorating and vitamin-rich mix. It’s a tribute to the sun-soaked Sicilian landscape, its vivid colors and fragrant aromas.

Kyoto Zen offers a sensory journey to the spiritual heart of Japan, where silent gardens, ancient temples and Zen harmony meet. This recipe combines the intensity of coffee with the delicate notes of matcha, topped with soft whipped cream and a dusting of matcha powder to enhance its aromatic profile. A refined and intimate moment of pause, encouraging you to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the beauty in simple gestures.

A tropical escape that begins with a sip and transports you to crystal-clear beaches, lush rainforests and temples nestled in nature. Bali Escape is a tribute to Indonesia’s exotic flavors: coconut meets the depth of coffee in a creamy and enveloping combination. Finished with whipped cream, shredded coconut, and a dusting of bitter cocoa powder.

The new recipes will be available in a limited edition from June 4 through September 2025 at illy’s mono-brand stores in Italy, France, and the UK, in two sizes (170 ml and 300 ml). At the illy flagship store in Milan’s Via Monte Napoleone, guests can enjoy an exclusive tasting trio served at the table.

To make summer even more special, a dedicated loyalty campaign will run at illy’s directly managed cafés in Italy.

From June 4 to August 4, with the purchase of any summer recipe, customers will receive a postcard featuring the stories behind the recipes and a QR code. By scanning it, they can enter an instant win contest to win a €50 daily travel voucher. Furthermore, by registering for the illy Lovers program with the same email used for the contest and enjoying at least five summer recipes, customers will have the chance to enter a final draw for a trip for two to Trieste, including a visit to the illycaffè production facility.
