Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) has expanded its Portland office by hiring two new talented team members. These valuable additions to the organization will help to further enhance Cup of Excellence, training, group cuppings, and administration.

Chris Wade has been added as Cup of Excellence Head Judge & Trainer and Lindsay Amor as the Administrative Assistant for the team.

Chris Wade brings ACE 16 years of coffee experience both technically and as an active community member. For the past seven years, Chris has served on the Roasters Guild Executive Council and is the current Immediate Past Chair.

Wade has taught roasting and cupping classes internationally and has developed roasting curriculum with the SCAA. His extensive roasting and cupping experience offers ACE valuable skill and insight.

Chris came to ACE from Coffee Bean International where he was in charge of green quality coffee. He will be serving his first post as Cup of Excellence Head Judge in Colombia in August.

Lindsay Amor joins the ACE team after several years of teaching and tutoring English as a Second Language with the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program in Aomori, Japan.

With a Bachelors of Arts in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College, conversational fluency in Japanese, and years of living abroad, she will be a much needed asset in corresponding with the international community that make up the Alliance for Coffee Excellence membership.
