Gca stocks down for sixth month in a row, but still above historic average

MILAN – The Green Coffee Association of the U.S.A. (Gca) released on Thursday, after the markets closed, its monthly figures. According to data, the countries port warehouse stocks decreased by 18,021 bags or 0.27% during the month of January, to register these stocks at 6,613,480 bags at the end of the month.

This is the sixth month in a row that stocks have fallen from an historic high of 7,413,312 bags in July. However this figure is still 4.6 percent, or 290,713 higher higher from January 2016.

The five-year average for the month of December is 5,821,778 bags.
