Dätwyler set to produce more sustainable Nespresso capsules, partnership extended until 2030

ALTDORF, Switzerland – Datwyler has extended its strategic partnership with Nespresso and has signed a new multi-year contract until 2030. The new contract covers capsules and seals production for portioned coffee product lines and envisages continuous volume and revenue growth. By combining its core competencies and focusing on sustainability, Datwyler generates added value for the world’s leading companies in a variety of industries.

Datwyler has extended its strategic partnership with Nespresso. The new multi-year agreement runs until 2030 and envisages continuous volume and sales growth. It covers capsules and seals production for portioned coffee product lines. Since 2006, Datwyler and Nespresso have continuously intensified their successful cooperation.

Datwyler : Focus on sustainability

Datwyler continues to invest in the expansion of production capacity, thereby strengthening the highly automated plant in Schattdorf in the Swiss canton of Uri. The details of the close cooperation with Nespresso are subject to a confidentiality agreement.

“By investing in and adapting our production processes, we are able to support Nespresso in putting to market capsules made using 80% recycled aluminium and hence contribute to their commitment to make every cup of coffee carbon neutral by 2022. Carbon neutral production at Datwyler’s Swiss site also contributes to this,” said Dirk Lambrecht, Group CEO
