Coca-Cola HBC to expand Knockmore Hill production facility

LISBURN (IRELAND) – Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland has announced a £26m (€29.5m) investment in its Knockmore Hill production facility in Lisburn, the company’s largest single investment since the site opened in 2008.

The new funding will support the installation of a state-of-the-art high-speed recycled plastic bottling line, set to be operational by May 2026.

Once completed, the new line will produce 500ml bottles at a rate of 65,000 per hour and more than 36,000 2-litre bottles per hour, all made from 100% recycled plastic.

The move marks a major milestone in Coca-Cola HBC’s sustainability strategy, following its transition in 2024 to exclusively using recycled plastic across its product range.
