Finnish chocolate company Goodio proudly announces partnership with Ubuntu Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to creating jobs and empowering communities in Kenya.

The two companies have joined forces and launched Café Ubuntu chocolate which harmoniously combines Ubuntu’s East African coffee and Ugandan cacao.

For each chocolate bar sold 0,5 $/£/€ will be donated to Ubuntu’s health & education programs supporting children with special needs as well as empowering and educating women in Maai Mahiu, Kenya. The vegan treat is manufactured at Goodio’s own factory in Helsinki, Finland.

“Creative collaborations like this with Goodio are what it’s all about! Two companies coming together to do more good while at the same time making some of the tastiest coffee chocolate I’ve ever had…what’s better than that? I couldn’t be more excited about this collaboration and the impact we will be creating together for our communities in Kenya”, says Zane Wilemon, Executive Director of Ubuntu Foundation.

Goodio’s mission is to accelerate the positive change with the world’s best chocolate. Hence, collaborating with Ubuntu was an easy choice for the company.

“We are extremely thrilled about our partnership with Ubuntu. It’s always fun and rewarding to work with like-minded people who are interested in doing good. I feel that this is also a great opportunity for the consumers to make a positive impact with a simple action of buying delicious chocolate”, says Jukka Peltola, founder of Goodio.

Café Ubuntu chocolate will be available end of May at Allegro Coffee bars at Whole Foods markets in the North East, North Atlantic, South West and United Kingdom regions.
