CANBERRA, Australia — Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group, through its newly-incorporated Australian subsidiary Bean Alliance Group announces that bean ground & drunk coffee triumphed at the Annual Awards for Organic Excellence in Canberra.

Bean ground & drunk was crowned “2019 Gold Champion Australian Certified Organic Non-Alcoholic Beverage of the Year” and is the first Certified Organic coffee in Australia.

Following the announcement, the roaster received a custom-made 22ct gold-plated bud logo, a replication of the certification symbol consumers look for when choosing certified Australian organic products. Bean ground & drunk has been served in “hipster cafés” since 2003, anticipating the hipster trend by nearly a decade.

Pascal Héritier, Chief Operating Officer of Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group said: “We’re so pleased and proud. It’s a tremendous achievement in the organic industry that is highly regarded and highlights our continued commitment and sustainable approach in the organic marketplace. This recognition confirms once again our effort on a global scale, in addition to the certifications already obtained such as the NON-GMO project verification by Kauai Coffee and the achievement of Fair Trade®️, UTZ®️, and Rainforest Alliance®️ certifications”.

Founded in Melboune in 1981, The Bean Alliance enjoys a premium position and is characterized by the quality of its main brands. It is present in the Australian market mainly with Bean ground and drunk, Gravity Espresso and Ox3, urban/artisan brands created to meet the needs of artisan coffee shops and the new specialty coffees, which are particularly welcomed by the new generation of barista.
