Vietnam’s coffee exports fell sharply during the first four months of 2015, according to data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
During the January to April period, Viet Nam shipped an estimated 466,000 tonnes of coffee worth $970 million abroad, down 41 per cent in volume and 39.3 per cent in value.
Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fisheries product exports reached US$2.61 billion in April, with the sector’s total export value during the first four months rising to $9.13 billion.
This reflected a year-on-year decrease of 6 per cent.
