PIRACICABA, SP, Brazil – Forecasts of heavy winds and rainfall in Southeastern Brazil in early November concerned producers, but the impacts on coffee crops were not significant, Cepea reports in its latest analysis.

Heavy winds were registered in some arábica coffee crops in the north of Paraná state, especially close to Londrina. However, the damage was very localized.

Many agents surveyed by Cepea were fearing that heavy winds would hit areas in Mogiana Paulista, Garça (SP) and in the South of Minas Gerais, which was not verified.

As a result, the rainfall favored crops and the development of the 2026/27 season.

Players surveyed by Cepea say that most of the flowers had already opened and, now, the success of the next season depends on more rains. Moreover, temperatures continue favorable for coffee crops.
