MILAN — La Marzocco, a Florence-based company and leader in espresso machine production since 1927, announces the launch of Modbar Tea. Modbar Tea – the latest addition to the Modbar espresso equipment lineup – will be shown at HostMilano and at OUT OF THE BOX on Saturday, October 18, also in collaboration with The 1872 Clipper Tea Co and Wilden Herbals, offering visitors an alternative brewing experience.
Modbar Tea pairs a pressurized portafilter with custom Modbar AV firmware to enable a unique and programmable steeping process on any compatible Modbar AV Espresso Tap.
With the ability to set initial fill volume, dwell time, and total beverage weight over two pulses, Modbar Tea extracts tea in half the time of traditional steeping methods while enhancing speed, consistency, and workflow efficiency.
The low-profile, in-counter design of Modbar Tea maintains Modbar’s signature aesthetic while fostering open counter space and encouraging meaningful customer interaction. This setup allows guests to engage with the tea-making process similarly to traditional methods, but with the benefit of cutting-edge technology.
Designed to support a wide variety of beverages—including quick-serve tea, tea lattes, and made-to-order iced teas—Modbar Tea offers total control over extraction.
The combination of precise pressure control and firmware customization opens up new opportunities for consistency and creativity in tea preparation.
The Modbar Tea portafilter and firmware will be available as a package for new Modbar purchases or as a retrofit kit for existing installations.
