MILAN, Italy – It’s spelled sCIOCk, but it reads as a revolution. That’s the name of the new project conceived by master chocolatier and taste innovator Davide Comaschi, set to debut from 17 to 21 October 2025 at Host Milano, the international trade show dedicated to hospitality and professional catering, held at Fiera Milano (Rho).
“sCIOCk – Chocolate in Motion” will be a cultural and sensory space entirely devoted to the world of chocolate and its many forms – from pastry to fine dining, from restaurants to hotels, from design to research and sustainability. It will be a dynamic, interactive arena where professionals, enthusiasts, and industry experts can meet, learn, and explore.
The space – designed to encourage the exchange of ideas – will host themed talks, technical masterclasses, live demonstrations, and round tables with key players from the confectionery industry, chefs, pastry chefs, food designers, companies, and thought leaders. The goal is to create a genuine cultural movement around chocolate, one that breaks traditional boundaries and celebrates its complexity, technical mastery, and constant evolution.
The name chosen by Comaschi already conveys the project’s intention: “CIOC” as the heart of the word cioccolato (chocolate), the central ingredient. “sCIOCk” is a playful blend of sound and visual impact – evoking a positive shock, a creative jolt, and the flowing, ever-changing nature of melted chocolate.
“Chocolate in motion” is both a metaphor and a reality – a call for change, creativity, and innovation, always grounded in technique and culture.“I wanted to create an open, contemporary space where chocolate isn’t just a product, but a language,” says Davide Comaschi. “With sCIOCk, we’re bringing to Host a place where people talk, learn, and experiment. Where knowledge meets flavour. That’s why we believe Host Milano is the natural place to launch a cultural journey with all the key stakeholders in the Food s Beverage and Hospitality sectors.”
“We are thrilled to welcome a project like sCIOCk to Host Milano – one that combines innovation and high-level expertise in a dynamic and engaging way,” says Francesca Cavallo, Head of Hospitality Exhibitions at Fiera Milano. “Hosting Davide Comaschi and an event with such a visionary spirit is a real asset and further strengthens Host’s position as a leading international platform for the hospitality world. It’s a partnership built on shared values: continuous innovation, meaningful connections, cross-disciplinary exchange, and an openness to the future.”
sCIOCk is set to become an evolving platform, with the aim of growing beyond the trade fair to become a key reference point for training, professional development, and cultural outreach in the chocolate world. The first edition at Host Milano 2025 marks the starting point of a travelling journey that will go on to involve schools, events, and creative culinary spaces in Italy and abroad.
