HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – More than 150 coffee and sustainability professionals from around the world came together for the highly successful 4C Regional Stakeholder Conference on “New Requirements for Coffee Exports and Latest Developments in Sustainability Certification.” The event, held both virtually and in-person at the New World Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, served as a platform for industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss and advance sustainable practices within the coffee sector.

The conference, designed to foster collaboration and provide networking opportunities, showcased the collective commitment of the coffee and sustainability community to driving positive change. Participants engaged in insightful discussions, gained valuable perspectives from industry experts, and explored the latest requirements in coffee exports and sustainability certification.

Key topics at the conference included a comprehensive examination of the EU Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR), with a specific focus on compliance requirements and innovative solutions.

Notable speakers from the coffee sector, including representatives from the Vietnam Coffee – Cocoa Association (VICOFA), and global brands such as JDE and Marubeni, shared their insights.

The agenda was further enriched by the participation of government representatives such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, NGOs like the Lake Constance Foundation, along with sustainability experts from Meo Carbon Solutions, and Global Risk Assessment Services (GRAS), complemented the agenda.
