Baltimore’s SECOND Annual Signature Coffee Drink Competition!
Join some of Baltimore’s most innovative Barista’s (representatives from Artifact, Dooby’s, The Four Seasons, Perfect Brew and others) for an Iron Chef style Coffee Signature Drink Competition.
Here are the rules: This is an anything-goes signature beverage competition. Espresso and larger brew methods are both allowed, and alcohol is not off-limits. The drink must be inarguably, a drink (i.e.: no ice cream or custard consistency is permitted, or something that requires cutlery).
Here’s the twist, the drink MUST contain both coffee and at least one herb from the selected list: Basil, Bay Leaf, Chamomile, Chives, Dill, Fennel, Lavender, Marjoram, Oregano, Parsley, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage, Sarsaparilla, Savory, Spearmint, Tarragon, Thyme.

- Additional competitors will be confirmed closer to the date.
JUDGES (who love coffee):
- Max Weiss (Baltimore Magazine);
- Rob Long (105.7 The Fan);
- and Caleb Lewis from La Colombe. This industry judge participated in The Brewer’s Cup.
This year an audience element will be added to the voting process. Each drink will be rated by FOUR members of the audience.
The average of their scores will be added to the overall scoring.
PLUS: An audience participation vote will be tallied based on the best name of the signature drink. This award will have its own, separate prize.
$15 per person inclusive
In addition to viewing the contest, each guest will receive a drink ticket and snacks to enjoy (Aged Cheddar Potato croquetta, preserved lemon, basil aioli; and Grilled Chicken Satays, Knob Creek BBQ sauce)
