BARCELONA, Spain – Tandem, a professional espresso coffee machine from Iberital, a Spanish manufacturer based in Barcelona, has won the Bronze at the ADI awards 2020. This award recognizes Iberital’s commitment to its iconic, sustainable and a purpose-drive design: creating the best tool for each barista, writes the company in a press release. After attaining six awards with Vision in 2018 and 2019, Tandem now takes the lead and gets all the attention.

The Tandem espresso coffee machine is designed in collaboration with Andreu Carulla and ACID Studio.

Tandem, an all-around espresso machine with an iconic design that is easy to use, powerful, and attractive in any setting.

Tandem’s design began with the user and his habits in mind. A simple detail conceived to achieve superior handling and control of the brewing tools. The rational, nordic-inspired and removable basket helps move cups, dishes and jars around.

The ADI-FAD is the benchmark association for product design in Spain and is a full member of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) since 1961.

Since 1976, they recognize with the ADI Medals the best dissertation projects in the field of industrial design. In 2016 they launched the first call for the ADI Culture Awards. Today, the three recognitions are gathered under the ADI Awards concept.

It is possible to leverage the power of data by integrating IB Connect and have greater control on the use, performance, and needs of the machine by connecting to it from a computer or smartphone.
