RIMINI – Coffee artists will be gathering in the Coffee Arena at Sigep – The Dolce World Expo, to compete in the finals of the Italian Barista Championships: six different competitions to qualify for the World Coffee Events international circuit. The competitions are organised in collaboration with Sca Italy, the Italian branch of the Specialty Coffee Association, which promotes an authentic culture of quality coffee, involving all the supply chain players.
The finals of the Italian Barista Championships at Sigep
Over the five days of its 44th edition (Rimini Expo Centre, 21st – 25th January 2023), the Italian Exhibition Group show will host CIBC, the Italian Coffee Barista Championship, CILA, Italian Latte Art Championship, the Brewers Cup, CIGS, Italian Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, the Italian Cup Taster Championship, and last but not least, the Italian Coffee Roasting Championship.
The competitions will be staged in the Coffee Arena, located in the centre of Rimini Expo Centre, close to the south entrance, which will host initiatives specifically for the industry of one of the world’s best-loved and most popular beverages.
An intense programme of events – with talks and training sessions and a special training programme aimed at young students from hotel and catering institutes on Wednesday – organised with the collaboration of the exhibiting companies themselves, media partners, research centres, experts and important national and international institutional partners.
As proof of the strategic role played by the coffee supply chain, the 44th edition of Sigep will see the most prestigious European brands in attendance, guaranteeing an exhaustive overview of the most popular varieties, procedures, technologies, equipment and techniques on international markets.
