YORK, Pa., U.S. — Convenience stores chain Rutter’s recently launched Guatemalan Highlands, the second blend of its sustainable coffee program. This medium roast originated from the high mountains of Guatemala and provides hints of floral and honey aromas with sweet chocolate flavors and a cocoa finish.

Rutter’s introduced its sustainable program in December 2017 by partnering with S&D Coffee & Tea. These sustainable origin blends are limited-time and rotate every six months.

Proceeds from the sales of the sustainable blends go directly to helping farmers, farm families and rural communities become more productive and profitable by improving farming practices, protecting the environment and bettering local livelihoods.

Customers can find the sustainable coffee flavor by the flavor cards marked with the Raíz logo.

“Giving back to our communities, helping protect our environment and operating with a high level of corporate responsibility are foundational pieces of Rutter’s strategic direction,” said Ryan Krebs, director of foodservice in a press release.
