SAN FRANCISCO, U.S. – Silicon Valley startup Pooki’s Mahi announced today it reintroduced 100% Kona Peaberry coffee in recyclable capsules that are compatible with 1.0 and 2.0 brewing technologies to make single serve coffee; the transition offers existing customers to save from rising costs of materials to manufacture Kona coffee in environmentally friendly pods.

Pooki’s Mahi Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller explains, “I decided to transition Pooki’s Mahi® individually wrapped 100% Kona coffee pods into 100% recyclable capsules in 2017. Recyclable capsules and improved packaging helps Pooki’s Mahi meet two-day shipping to the Lower 48 states, Alaska and Hawaii. Pooki’s Mahi passes price increases for shipping, raw materials, and processing fees to customers. I have zero tolerance for suppliers engaged in egregious cyber-criminal activities or unable to consistently meet commitments.”

“Pooki’s Mahi Komo KittySM and MeowHattan Project overhaul operations. Pooki’s Mahi® manages the supply chain, sources raw materials and requires suppliers to fit into a Just In Time (JIT) model. Enforcing a Just In Time (JIT) model eliminates 95% of suppliers that will never meet Pooki’s Mahi high standards.

I replaced 95% of suppliers. Pooki’s Mahi JIT supply chain model enables fast inventory turns, flexible new product launches like the new Kafpressoâ„¢ 100% Kona coffee capsules, and improve existing 100% Kona coffee pods from Kona KaKaoâ„¢coffee product line and Matcha Matcha Man® tea capsules.

Pooki’s Mahi can react quickly to existing customer feedback. I will not consider firms unable to provide Pooki’s Mahi their company’s certificate of insurance, lacks technology platform to support established supply chain processes, or has less than two decades of coffee roasting, packaging or manufacturing experience,” the Silicon Valley technology executive continues.

Pooki’s Mahi® increased pricing for all of their luxury beverage products. Business operations ceased to exist for suppliers used to produce raw materials and manufacture individually wrapped environmentally friendly pods as a result of failing to meet Pooki’s Mahi stringent supply chain metrics. Limited availability for 100% Kona coffee crop, elevated cost to fulfill and ship packages are driving price markups. Pooki’s Mahi passes operation overhead costs to customers.

Pooki’s Mahi Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller transitioned production into an FDA certified manufacturing facilities for tea and coffee capsules to meet growing demand from existing customers. Each Kona coffee pods are nitrogen flushed, formed with a high oxygen barrier, and compatible with 1.0 and 2.0 single serve coffee makers. Pooki’s Mahi expanded its Kona KaKaoâ„¢ coffee pods in 2019 with single-origin, micro-lot coffee pods fit for the espresso coffee lovers.

Pooki’s Mahi MeowHattan Project is a multi-year effort that started in 2012 to integrate the company’s growth as a service model with warehousing, fulfillment, merchandising, and digital marketing as foundations for international expansion. The direct to consumer brand has a strong presence in several continents.

Pooki’s Mahi Peaberry 100% Kona coffee capsules will be the fourth set of Kona KaKaoâ„¢ coffee pods manufactured in the new FDA certified facility. Pooki’s Mahi coffee for Keurig capsules is 100% recyclable. Pooki’s Mahi uses certified 100% Kona coffee beans sourced from Kona, Hawaii through direct trade relationships. The 100% Kona coffee beans are Peaberry grade, the most expensive Kona coffee. Pooki’s Mahi plans on expanding the Kona KaKaoâ„¢coffee pods and Matcha Matcha Man® tea pods in 2019 with a new product line.

Pooki’s Mahi Peaberry grade 100% Kona coffee pods are available as a limited edition to a small number of approved resellers. Select retailers like international grocery chains and global marketplaces will begin shipping Pooki’s Mahi 100% recyclable Peaberry Kona coffee capsules in 2019. Pooki’s Mahi Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller manages the supply chain. Pooki’s Mahi controls design, manufacturing, and distribution of the prized Kona coffee capsules. Peaberry Kona coffee is available for purchase on Pooki’s Mahi as a coffee subscription, through the wholesale coffee club or as an approved VIP Reseller Distributor. Certificate of Insurance is required to resell Pooki’s Mahi Kona coffee pods.
