Ninety Plus founder and CEO recognized as World Coffee Leader

MIAMI, Florida – Ninety Plus Coffee announced yesterday that its founder and CEO, Joseph Brodsky, was honored as a featured speaker at the World Coffee Leaders Forum held on November 12 in Seoul, Korea. The event is one of the largest global trade shows in the coffee industry.

Leaders were recognized at the event and invited to speak about sustainable development and the global issues and challenges in the industry. This select group of speakers also included the CEOs of two important business partners of the Company.

“I am honored to be invited to participate in this event that recognizes leaders in the coffee industry,” said Brodsky. “Specialty coffee is an explosive growth industry with a talented group of new and innovative thinkers,” he said.

Barista Magazine, a widely recognized trade publication, said that the list of speakers “reads like a who’s who in specialty coffee.” Over 1,500 business people from 40 countries attended the event.

The International Coffee Organization (ICO), sponsor of the event, said it convened “knowledgeable leaders from a variety of disciplines to share their perspectives on innovative ideas in each realm of the coffee industry.”

The ICO noted that the venue in Seoul was important because of the dramatically increasing demand and potential impact of Asia on the industry. In fact, Asia represents the largest and fastest growing market for Ninety Plus ® brands of coffee in the world.

The Company also noted that included as leaders in the session were two important business partners of Ninety Plus. Jason Wang, is founder and director of Jascaffe China Co., Ltd. Jascaffe is the exclusive national distributor of Ninety Plus coffee brands in China.

Abdullah Bagersh, Chairman of the African Fine Coffees Association, is an owner of a family business with whom Ninety Plus has a long term relationship in Ethiopia to co-produce coffee on a range of regional farms.

The Bagersh family was the first company to export coffee from Ethiopia and currently is the country’s fifth largest exporter.

In his remarks during his presentation and participation in a plenary session, Brodsky shared his perspective on brand development for international coffee producers. The Ninety Plus ® brand is well known from its sales and operations on 5 continents.

Ninety Plus Coffee is an internationally recognized producer of green coffee sold to its distributors and customers around the world. Its brands include Ninety Plus®, Levelup®, and Level One.
