AUCKLAND, New Zealand – A Chinese robot barista is shaping the new generation of coffee in New Zealand. Marie Fan introduced COFE+ Robot Cafe at the Queen’s Food Court in Auckland in January. The robotic barista uses locals favorite coffee beans like 1960s Vintage.
The COFE+ Robot Cafe in New Zealand
As reported by ECNS.cn, COFE+ sells around 100 cups of coffee daily with just 60 seconds to prepare for each one.
Since the first cafe was a success, Marie Fan decided to open a second one in Newmarket. The robot barista is a model from Shanghai Hi-Dolphin Robot Technology.
Since the rising labour costs in New Zealand, more business could adopt this solution in the future. In fact, as ECNS.cn reports, robots became more common in the country in the past two years.
