KARLSTAD, Sweden – Peter Therman has been elected to the board of the Swedish-based coffee roastery Löfbergs. Peter has a solid background in the Finnish family business Hartwall, where he represents the sixth generation. He has served as CEO in several companies and is now focused on board work and senior advisory roles.

“I am very pleased to welcome Peter to our board. He brings extensive knowledge of family businesses, investments, and international trade, which is particularly valuable to us. We are strongly focused on expanding our business beyond Sweden while also making significant investments in our roastery in Karlstad,” says Kathrine Löfberg, Chair of the Board and fourth-generation coffee roaster.

Peter Therman holds a master’s degree from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki and is part of the sixth generation of the Hartwall family business. His experience in transforming the company from a leading brewery into an investment firm has given him deep expertise in analysis, change management, investments, and strategic processes.

Peter holds several key positions in the business sector, including Vice Chair of Hartwall Capital and Chair of Helkama Auto, which serves as the general agent for Škoda and Avis car rental in Finland. He is also a sought-after advisor to family businesses, supporting them in ownership strategies, succession planning, and other challenges associated with running a family-owned company.

Löfbergs was founded in 1906 in Karlstad and is now one of the largest family-owned coffee roasteries in the Nordics. The company began exporting coffee in 1993 and today sells every second cup outside Sweden. Löfbergs has subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom.
