ICO’s new Executive Director José Sette meets high-level representatives

LONDON, UK – Mr José Sette, Executive Director of the International Coffee Organization, took office on 1 May 2017. He paid courtesy visits to the following Ambassadors to discuss the challenges facing the coffee sector globally and specifically with reference to their countries.

He also took the opportunity to discuss their suggestions for the work programme and strategic planning of the Organization.

In addition to that, whilst attending the launch of the Global Adaptation Plan in Geneva, he visited the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Mr Roberto Azevêdo; and the Secretary-General of UNCTAD, Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, to discuss possible opportunities for collaboration.

In the next few days, he will be visiting Ambassadors of other Member countries.
