VILLORBA, Treviso, Italy – Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group has signed the agreement to take over the business of EspressoWorkz, a company headquartered in Auckland that markets coffee and coffee machines across New Zealand.With this new acquisition, made by its Australian subsidiary, the Group continues its International expansion.

The Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group is a holding company founded and chaired by Massimo Zanetti. It comprises a vast network of companies, which is undergoing continuous rapid growth on a global scale.

Most of these are leading brands in their specific area or sector, offering a rich variety of high quality regional products, including coffee, tea, cocoa and spices.

The Massimo Zanetti Bevarage Group’s story took its roots in the past. Massimo Zanetti is born into a merchants of coffee family; not only the tradition, but also the passion was transmitted by his grandfather and then by his father.

In the 1970s, Massimo Zanetti embarked on a long path that started with the purchase of the roasting Segafredo in Bologna and it has been continuing, since the 1980s, with the expansion of foreign operations, starting with Portugal, France and Austria.

In the second half of the 1990s there was the acquisition of Nossa Senhora da Guia, the first private single coffee plantation in the world located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

With the aim to make the chain completely integrated, during the 2000, MZB Group bought Beneficio La Eva, establishment for the initial green coffee manufacturing, and Santa Laura Exportadora, an export companies, both of them in Costa Rica.

The 2000s were crucial for the Group growth that , first, it extended its presence in North Europe with Meira purchase, a Finnish company, and secondly, it entered in the United States economy with the MZB USA acquisition.

In the same years was created Segafredo Zanetti Coffee System, a company specialized in solution with high service to content consumers and Office Service sector .
