VALBREMBO, Bergamo, Italy – Evoca Group, a world-leading manufacturer of professional coffee machines, celebrated the 80th anniversary of Gaggia Milano, a brand that is a byword for Italian espresso.

The event marked the brand’s return, presenting a new range of professional machines that combines the powerful heritage of Gaggia Milano and the innovative technology of the Evoca Group’s expertise.

The history of the brand started with an innovative idea of the founder Achille Gaggia, who — back in 1938 — invented the crema layer and revolutionised the process of the espresso making. The exclusively Italian tradition of espresso coffee rapidly spread all over the world in the ‘50s, leading to the production of Gaggia professional coffee machines on a large scale.

The anniversary celebration — set against the beautiful backdrop of Palazzo Bovara, where the new range of Gaggia Milano professional machines was unveiled — was the occasion for retracing the brand’s history and celebrating its return in grand style.

To reinforce its position in the Ho.Re.Ca market, Evoca Group acquired the license of the brand Gaggia Milano two years ago with the aim of relaunching the iconic brand through an appropriate investment plan and reaffirming its historical leadership on the professional market.

Leveraging on the powerful brand reputation, Evoca Group integrated all the values of the Gaggia Milano brand in the development of the new professional coffee machines that are leading the relaunch:

  • a modern design that also includes stylish features of the legendary Fifties, when Gaggia Milano started on its road to success
  • a premium positioning, coherent with the quality and reliability standard expected by the brand
  • an innovative technology, respecting the great culture and the important tradition of the Italian espresso.

The Italian soul has been integrated in the whole creation of the new range, from design to production, as all the new machines will be manufactured in Italian plants.

The Gaggia Milano new range, presented during the event, will be released during 2019. The first highly premium machine “la Reale” will be available starting from January 2019, while the other two models — the automatic premium machine “la Radiosa” and the traditional machine “la Giusta” — will be released in the second part of the year.
