BOGOTÁ, Colombia — Like in the pages of the best stories or novels, Café de Colombia played a leading role in Colombia’s most important fair, the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo) 2019, where over 50,000 of the 605,000 attendees enjoyed the country’s best coffee origins.

The FILBo, held from April 25 to May 6 in Corferias, was the perfect scene to show domestic and foreign visitors the diversity of profiles, aromas and flavors from the 22 coffee departments of Colombia, as well as the importance of this activity in the country’s development.

In order to highlight Colombian coffee growers’ work and promote coffee diversity and quality in relevant scenes, this year the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC), through the Café de Colombia brand, was present for the first time in the FILBo 2019

Under the premise that there is no better combination than enjoying a book with good coffee, the attendees found the perfect setting to enjoy a Colombian coffee cup in family and with the best company.

The visitors participated in filter coffee brewing workshops with the country’s best baristas, cupping of different coffee origins, latte art shows, and comfortable spaces to read books about Colombian coffee.

They could also learn about the coffee culture and process from seed to cup.

This year, the FILBo’s special guest was Colombia in its bicentenary, and coffee, the country’s flagship product, was present to offer the unique experience of getting to know and living coffee high quality and diversity.

“Here I was able to understand what true Colombian specialty coffee is,” an attendee said.
