SEATTLE, U.S. — After rigorous testing, the Bonavita Connoisseur Coffee Brewer, recognized by industry leaders as a top brewer, has been awarded Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) “Certified Home Brewer” certification.
Bonavita now has three SCA certified brewers, the most of any brand. The Bonavita Connoisseur is available at retailers and specialty stores, including Crate and Barrel.
The easy to use Bonavita Connoisseur (BV1901TS MSRP $159.99) mimics the artisan pour-over brewing method, making a Golden Cup Standard carafe in about 6 minutes. The new hanging filter basket works with the showerhead to provide uniform flavor extraction and even saturation.
The stainless-steel carafe provides improved heat retention and pourability. In addition to the Connoisseur, the Bonavita 1900TD Programmable Thermal Carafe Coffee Brewer and the Bonavita 1900TS Thermal Carafe Coffee Brewer are also SCA certified.
In August, Wirecutter stated the Connoisseur “brewed the best-tasting coffee of any machine we tried, with minimal (read: zero) bells and whistles and an uber-simple interface… We love the simplicity of the Bonavita and think it’s a great choice if flavor is your number one priority.”
In May, CNET said, “Bonavita’s improved coffee maker is its best one yet. The Bonavita Connoisseur creates fabulously good pots of coffee for a lot less money. It’s compact, easy to use, and has few parts to clean. Its thermal carafe keeps contents hot for hours… The Bottom Line: the Bonavita Connoisseur is the best coffee maker to buy if you want to brew superb pots of drip and spend less cash.”
“The SCA is committed to educating the coffee lover on how best to brew, and we’re honored the Bonavita Connoisseur has been recognized as an essential tool that performs strongly,” says Espresso Supply President, Laura Sommers. “With our Bonavita collection, we employ the highest level of coffee brewing technology while keeping the experience of brewing coffee simple and easy.”
